Usec. Maria Blanca Kim B. Lokin, President and CEO of the Philippine Pharma Procurement Inc. (PPPI) attended the Philippine Health Industry Stakeholders Consultation Meeting organized by the Indian Embassy in the Philippines to explore avenues for collaboration in ensuring universal health care, specifically in making affordable medicines accessible to all Filipinos. Usec. Lokin shared her plans of reviving an improved Botika Ng Bayan and aligning this initiative with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation’s Konsulta program.

The consultation which was held at the Chancery Premises of the Embassy of India in Manila on 01 August 2024 was chaired by Chargé d’Affaires Dr. Sadre Alam. Other personalities who attended the consultation were Dr. Luis Rodriguez, President, Medical Device Association of the Philippines (MDAP), Dr. Jose De Grano, President, Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines (PHAPI), and Dr. Albert Ong Dy, Secretary General, Philippine Society of Public Health Physicians (PSPHP).
