What is the Pambansang Botika?
The Pambansang Botika is a government-supported franchise pharmacy designed to provide affordable, accessible medicines, vaccines and other essential medical equipment to every Filipino.
The government-backed pharmacy, Pambansang Botika, ensures that Filipinos can now access quality medicines, vaccines and primary health services at an affordable rate—bringing healthcare directly into the heart of communities, as promised by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. as early as his 2022 State of the Nation Address.
Where is the first branch located and the operating hours?
The first branch is intended to be located at the Ground Floor of the SSS Diliman, East Avenue, Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City. Once fully operational, it will be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
What services are available at the Pambansang Botika?
- Maintenance medicines which will be dispensed only with a doctor’s prescription
- Affordable medicines for common illnesses
- In collaboration with other partners, we are able to provide essential vaccinations
- Soon:
- Primary care services aligned with PhilHealth packages
- Online delivery services for added convenience
What is the supply chain process?
As part of the franchise agreement, PPPI will supply core medicines, drugs and inventory. Details will be available upon inquiry. Terms to be finalized and subject to change.
How is the Pambansang Botika connected to PPPI?
The first Pambansang Botika will be operated and implemented by the Philippine Pharma Procurement, Inc. (PPPI), ensuring medicines are procured at affordable rates and sold at equally affordable prices to the public. PPPI is exploring different methods of public-private partnerships to ensure active participation by the private sector.
What are the next plans for the Pambansang Botika?
