On March 9, 2026, the Philippine Pharma Procurement, Inc. (PPPI) held its National Women’s Month Celebration at the Innovation Hub, NDC Building, with the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society: Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!” The event gathered employees and partners in recognition of women’s contributions in the government workplace and in society.

The program was led by PPPI President and CEO Usec. Maria Blanca Kim Bernardo-Lokin, with the support of PITC President and CEO Mary M. Tong and NDC General Manager Saturnino H. Mejia.

The celebration featured a keynote address delivered by media personality Korina Sanchez-Roxas, who shared insights on empowerment, leadership, and the continuing role of women in nation-building.

Informative talks were also delivered by representatives from the Social Security System (SSS), including Ms. Dina F. Baros, Acting Department Manager III for Sickness, Maternity, and Disability Benefits, and Mr. Jhomer C. Gonzales, Corporate Executive Officer II from the Member Education Department. Representatives from Pag-IBIG Fund, led by Ms. Ging Pauig, Branch Head of the Alphaland Makati Branch, also participated in the program. Maya, a partner of PPPI, also showed support for the celebration.

Through initiatives such as this, PPPI continues to promote gender equality, empowerment, and inclusive engagement within the workplace and beyond.
